Helping men find Christ-Centered Community.
For over 20 years, Brook Whitmire has made his home in Athens, where he and his wife, Jennifer, have raised two children—Allie, a 2023 UGA grad, and James, a current UGA junior. After earning his degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Georgia, Brook shifted gears from banking to education, eventually serving as a teacher, coach, and human resources leader in public education.
He spent 15 years as the Chief Human Resources Officer for Oconee County Schools, a district known for excellence, before retiring in 2023. Now, Brook is a part-time leadership coach and HR consultant, helping others grow and lead effectively.
Beyond his professional life, Brook is deeply passionate about mentoring the next generation of Christ-following men. He and Jennifer have led weekly Bible studies for UGA students for over 15 years. His love for the community also extends to his long-standing role as the voice of Sanford Stadium, where he’s announced Georgia Bulldogs games since 1992.
